REVIEW: Legs by Kelly Siskind

Legs - FINAL COVER, No blurb

DESCRIPTION:

Running into your one-night stand is a special kind of awkward. Competing against him in a wine tasting contest is delicious torment…

On Rachel’s twenty-seventh birthday, she wishes to finally find a rewarding job. What she doesn’t wish is to drink a boatload of wine, sleep with a tattooed bad boy, and drunk email her boss in one glorious, career-ending move. But the fiasco pushes her to pursue a career inspired by her late father’s love of wine: sommelier.

Unfortunately, she’s competing against her infuriating one-night stand, a man as intoxicating as a Pinot Noir.

Two years ago, Jimmy was set to inherit his family winery. Then it got ripped from his grasp. To close that dark chapter of his life, he plans to win a local sommelier contest and use the press to expose his family’s tainted wines.

Jimmy loves studying the streaks of alcohol that cling to a wineglass, known as the wine’s “legs,” but other shapely legs are stealing his focus. Tantalizing legs. Legs that had wrapped around his waist for one wild night. Jimmy, sadly, has a weakness for legs.

He also hates to lose.

LEGS is a full-length, standalone Smart, Sexy Romantic Comedy with a swoony Happily Ever After. No cheating or cliff-hangers here! Perfect for fans of Christina Lauren, Avery Flynn, Alice Clayton, Emma Chase, and Lauren Blakely.

REVIEW:

**Note: I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Everything about this book makes me want to climb to the top of the mountain (or through this computer screen) and shout how good it is. From the way Kelly writes each scene, making you feel like you’re actually there, to the way she gives you an intimate peek into each character’s soul, this book will give you all the feels and then some.

For me, a book knocks it out of the park if I am transported from an outsider to an invested insider. Legs is a homerun.

Kelly Siskind doesn’t just transport you to the places in her book, she inserts you smack dab into the middles of relationships, and leaves you no choice but to be invested. Involved.

It didn’t take long for me to feel like I was the fourth in Rachel, Ainsley and Gwen’s friendship trio. Before the end of the first chapter, I was sitting at the bar with them, hands propped under my chin, listening and ready to speak up whenever they turned to me for input. I was rooting for Rachel by the end of chapter one because she was my friend, and that only grew stronger with each turn of the page.

And with Jimmy, well, how could you not fall for him? Every bit of him had my palms sweaty and my heart thumping. Add in the witty banter between these two, the way they compliment each other, and every nuance that Kelly made sure to include, to make the characters and their stories real, and you’ve got a book as close to perfect as it can get.

But then, there’s the wine. And that moves Legs from almost perfect (in my book) to couldn’t-be-better-if-she-tried, 10-out-of-10, standing-ovation perfect.

You guys, if you want the perfect book to curl up and read, with a nice glass of wine, if you want a book that has romance–sexy, steamy, funny, real, romance–then look no further, because you’ve found your book.

I highly recommend Legs and you can purchase it or preorder it (before September 27th) using one of the links below. (Note: These are NOT affiliate links, and I do not earn any money if you use them.)
